You can make rhythms like this with Bounce Metronome Pro using its Drum & Dance metronome - you need to unselect "Syncrhonise beats in all the parts" in it's Dance Rhythms editor (Ctrl + 228)
Genres for these rhythms include:: not sure of any particularly, but probably safe to include Math Metal, & Contemporary Western Classical as musicians in these genres are interested in borrowing any kind of unusual and interesting rhythms. Or - just for fun :-)

Triplet pattern rhythms with alternating quarter and eighth notes
These rhythms have alternating quarter and eighth note beats in all the parts. Sometimes starts with an eighth note and sometimes with a quarter note - depends on the number of eighth notes in the rhythm. So for instance to play a triplet pattern like this in 7/8, you need to go o O o O o (o for eighth note, O for quarter note) stating with an eighth note as that is the only way to get the right number of beats to the measure.
There's nothing special about these triplet pattern rhythms. You can explore any pattern mixing beats of any size in all the parts of the polyrhythm, just as you desire. But to give this page some focus, I thought I'd explore these patterns, as a way to show the capabilities of the metronome.
